A number of Sony websites hit again by hackers

26 May, 2011 Sony Ericsson

Sony was victimized by hackers again as a Sony Ericsson website in Canada was breached and the personal data of 2000 people was stolen. Also details on another 8500 users were leaked on a Sony Music Entertainment website in Greece. Among the sensitive information lost were e-mails, passwords and phone numbers. Credit card information was not stolen this time so thats a high five on that account, at least.

As you might remember the Sony Playstation Network was hacked and information on its users credit cards and other data was stolen. I guess Japan was wise enough to prevent the PSN from going online before the necessary preventive actions have been taken.

Sony spokesman, George Boyd has told BBC that Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia site has been hacked and Thailand official Sony site too but no information has been stolen.
