Apple iPhone4S has a Global Qualcomm chip inside

The Apple iPhone 4S is coming out tomorrow and if preorders are any indication, a lot of you really want this thing. Well, the gadget surgeons at iFixit has already gotten the device and ripped it apart for our enjoyment.

As we know, the Apple iPhone 4S has a dual-core A5 processor, 8-megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 in a design thats similar to the iPhone 4. The folks at iFixit said the design is similar to the Verizon iPhone in terms of the antenna but all of these versions will rock a microSIM slot for world-roaming capabilities. The battery has an extra .05 WHrs, so that is always welcome.

That world-roaming capability is due to the Qualcomm RTR8605 chip inside could be a boon for world travelers, as it will make roaming on foreign networks much easier. We are hearing mixed reports about which carriers will unlock the microSIM slot but honestly, its not that difficult to unlock it yourself or pay someone to do it.
