COD Modern Warfare 3 set a New Sales Record

The numbers are finally in from sales of the new Call of Duty game Modern Warfare 3, and as predicted, its Tuesday launch broke the record for opening day sales. On its launch day between the US and Great Britain, Call of Duty newest installment sold 6.5 million units in one day, that breaking the record with 400 USD million worth of retail sales. The previous record holder was, you guessed it, the last version of Call of Duty, this one called Black Ops and having generated 360 USD million in sales on its first day.

Note here that these prices are not being bumped by the cash it takes to purchase one of these games, as each of the last few entries in the game history have all cost 60 USD a unit.
