We were so close to Samsung Unpacked event at CTIA next Tuesday, but both Google and Samsung have for some reason decided to postpone the event to an unspecified later date. Its unclear why both companies would decide to do such thing with all the immense hype currently surrounding the Nexus Prime and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Here is the official statement:
"Samsung and Google decide to postpone the new product announcement at CTIA Fall. We agree that it is just not the right time to announce a new product. New date and venue will be shortly announced."
There is been speculation floating around that the event might have been put off due to some its in mourning of Apple co-founder/CEO Steve Jobs.
All Nokia smartphones, which already received the Anna update and the ones running it out of the box, will be soon be updated with Symbian Belle as of October 26th. It will be available through the Ovi Suite and as an OTA update.
So, the update is coming for Nokia N8, C7, E7 and C6-01, as well for the E6, X7 and hopefully, the Nokia 500. October 26th is also the day when Nokia World 2011 kicks off, so we guess we can put some money on it. We will know for sure in three weeks.

HTC may be saying that the HTC Sensation XL will arrive in early November, bringing its Beats Audio musical skills and sizable 4.7-inch display, but at least one retailer reckons you will be able to get your Dre-style hustle on even earlier. Clove is saying the Sensation XL will arrive unlocked and SIM-free come October 24, though so far pricing is unconfirmed.
We are expecting it to be roughly in line with the current Sensation, however, seeing as you are getting a bigger display but a slower processor. Thats £414 currently, including tax, while the Sensation XE which also includes Beats Audio is £494
Sony is reportedly ready to buy out Ericsson in the Sony Ericsson joint venture and will take a stronger role in controlling its mobile future, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Sony Ericsson was created in 2001 as a 50-50 joint venture between Sony and the infrastructure giant Ericsson and it has had some moderate success, particularly in the feature phone department with its cool Walkman series. The company has been very slow to adjust to the smartphone world though, as even its CEO has said it should have taken the iPhone more seriously.
The buyout would give Sony full control of the mobile phone company, including the mobile patent portfolio and the move could cost up to $1.7 billion. The move would allow Sony to really dive into the fast-growing smartphone space with all of its efforts and it would allow the company to have a complete ecosystem.
Away Text is an app that will create an automatic away message for your phone. The idea is that when enabled, it will automatically text those who call or text you with an auto-response. Lets take a look and see if it really will!
Using Away Text
Away Text has a super clean interface that’s incredibly easy to use.
As you can see, there is a single textbox where you can put your status in, and an on-off switch in the top right corner to enable or disable Away Text.
Aside from the main screen, Away Text gives you 2 other screens: missed calls, and settings.
The Missed Calls screen is pretty straightforward; it displays a list of texts and calls that were sent the auto-response. One thing to note about this is that if you opt to only have the response sent to people in your Contacts, people who are not in your Contacts will not show up on that list. It also looks like each entry will not show up more than once, so if you’re looking for a comprehensive missed calls list, you will still need to go to the phone app for that.
In Settings, you are given a set of options on who to send the auto-response to. You can choose from missed calls, text messages, and limit it (as mentioned above) to people that are only in your contacts. Away Text also integrates Twitter and Facebook. If you authorize Away Text for Twitter and Facebook, whenever you enable Away Text, it will automatically post your auto-response to those sites.
How It Works?
Now that you are familiar with the app, lets talk about how well it works. I did a couple of tests to check the functionality of auto-responses for phone and SMS both separately and together and for posting to social networks.
First, posting to the social networks worked perfectly. You authorize Away Text just like you do with any other app, add your auto-response, turn it on, and you are done. Your auto-response is added to Facebook and/or Twitter. The same thing goes for responding to text messages.
I really like how Away Text completely silences your phone, turning off both sound and vibrate. I thought that was a really nice touch as, after all, you are supposed to be unavailable. There are no settings to change this, but I do not think thats a problem at all.
With the tests I did, I sent texts from my Google Voice number to my cell and it worked great. The response was sent automatically, albeit with a little ad that says, "Sent by Away Text." I also tested this cell-to-cell and it worked fine.
While social media and texts worked fine, I did have trouble with auto-response to phone calls. At first I tried my Google Voice number to my cell; when that didn’t work, I assumed it was because it was VoIP to cell and there was some bug. Then I tried using a couple of other cell phones to call my cell phone, but none of them got a text message with my auto-response, even after disabling and re-enabling, changing the messages, and playing with the settings. I also tried different call lengths (two rings, three rings, go to voicemail, etc.), but nothing seemed to work. After reading comments on the Market page, it looks like this is an isolated case as no one else is reporting that issue.
Chances are that the Nokia N9 has either just hit or its making its way towards a shop near you. And if you are considering splashing out the cash for the sleek MeeGo handset, its browser performance might be of importance to you.
And what better way to test it out than to compare it to one of the fastest browsers out there the iPhone 4 Safari.
Tablet are not just used by adults anymore and if the growing number of educational apps for the iPad and the number of videos on YouTube showing kids using them are any indications, kids are now a pretty large user-base for tablets. This is where the Motorola Xoom Family Edition comes in.
Motorola did not officially announce this variant of the Xoom, someone spotted the device at a retail store. The Family Edition reportedly comes with a Kid Mode from Zoodles, which, as you may have guessed, has apps designed especially for kids to help them with their education and for fun. Plus, there is also more than $40 worth of pre-installed apps on the device, including Asphalt 6 and QuickOffice. Other than that the Family Edition is identical to your regular Xoom, with the same 1GHz dual-core processor and 10.1-inch display.
Apple US pre-order page for the iPhone 4S has finally come online, offering not only would-be buyers a choice of ATT, Sprint or Verizon options for the new dual-core smartphone but the promise of a contract-free, unlocked version in next month. According to the page, shoppers can "get iPhone unlocked and contract-free. Coming in November" paying the full, unsubsidized price for the handset but avoiding any agreement lock-in.
The option has already been made available at Apple UK, where customers can opt to pay £499, £599 and £699 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB iPhone 4S versions respectively. In fact, Apple UK is only offering unlocked, SIM-free handsets: if buyers want a subsidized phone they they need to head over to one of the carriers for it.
As the day of the Samsung-Google Unpacked event draws closer, the Nexus Prime leaks are coming in thick and fast. After being treated to some specifications of the device yesterday, today we have managed to find something even more impressive.
Yes, what you see on the left could very well be the actual Nexus Prime that will be announced on October 11. We know, it looks a lot like the current Nexus S, down to the size of the device but look closer and you will see minor difference, such as the positioning of the proximity and display brightness sensors on the top, which are different from those on the Nexus S.
Also, the plastic border around the display looks smaller on this device than on the Nexus S. And of course, no capacitive buttons below the display, replaced by on-screen buttons in Ice Cream Sandwich.
Hands-on Video Below!
Today HTC announces the latest member of its Android smartphone lineup called Sensation XL. The droid is the second HTC device to feature the Beats audio enhancements and a special pair of Beats headphones in its retail package.
On the inside, the Gingerbread-running HTC Sensation XL is quite similar to the Windows Phone powered HTC Titan Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset, featuring a 1.5 GHz Scorpion CPU (single-core) and the Adreno 205 GPU. The RAM still 768 MB.
Outside you get a 4.7" S-LCD of WVGA resolution, which makes up for pixel density of 199 ppi. There's a Gorilla Glass panel in front of that to protect it from scratches. The profile of the metal-clad smartphone measures just 9.9mm.
The HTC Sensation XL 8 megapixel main camera is particularly interesting as it features a 28mm wide-angle lens and bright F/2.2 lens, which should improve its low-light performance dramatically. The 720p video-recording is not quite so impressive.
The HTC Sensation XL offers 16GB of internal storage, but sadly thats NOT expandable through a microSD card slot.
The Samsung Nexus Prime is expected to be revealed at the company event next Tuesday, has apparently been detailed as an Ice Cream Sandwich Verizon exclusive. The 9mm-thick device will have a 4.65-inch 1280 x 720p Super AMOLED HD curved glass display, but rather than one of Samsung own Exynos processors will instead run Texas Instrument 1.5 GHz OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 with 1GB RAM.
There will be 32GB of integrated storage, the tipster continues, along with WiFi a/b/g/n and NFC. Apparently the camera will only muster 8-megapixels with a 1.3-megapixel camera up front for video recording though will still be capable of 1080p Full HD video recording. Connectivity is said to be LTE or HSPA depending on carrier, though seeing as the Nexus Prime is said to be a Verizon exclusive in the US that will mean LTE. Versions abroad will presumably have HSPA+ instead, where LTE networks are not available.
Finally there is NFC support, as Google continues to push its Google Wallet wireless payments service, and a 1,750 mAh battery. OS is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, with no third-party modifications since this is a pure Nexus device. Interestingly, one addition to ICS is said to be a granular data monitor, which will show how much data is being used on a per-app basis.
Android apps running on Apple iPad are now a possibility thanks to Alien Dalvik v2.0, developersMyriad have announced, as part of the company push for Android software on tablets, TVs, in-care infotainment and more. First announced for MeeGo devices earlier this year, Alien Dalvik basically wraps Android apps in standalone runtime packaging: to the user, its a seamless matter of booting an app that has become basically platform-agnostic.
Although the iPad support is likely to be the most eye-catching, Myriad has greater ambitions for Alien Dalvik than just putting Android software onto iOS hardware.
T-Mobile USA announced new LG-made T-Mobile myTouch and the T-Mobile myTouch Q Android smartphones, both of which will be available "in time for the holiday season," whatever that means. The first of the two is an all-touchscreen device with a 3.8-inch display while the latter sports a smaller 3.5-inch screen along with a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard.
In addition, both smartphones also rock a 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording support on the back, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, 1GHz single-core processor, while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show. The myTouch also has a front-facing camera that is used for video calls.
Old customers Can Updated too.
A few days ago, we caught a glimpse at the first spy shots of the BlackBerry Messenger or BBM app for Android users running on a device. Some more screens of the app running what appears to be a different device have surfaced as well. The other screens show some of the same views that we saw previously, but it also includes a couple new views.
TechnoBuffalo was sent some screen shots from a source and the source added a bit of background to go with the screen shots that add a little credibility to things. The source claims to work for RIM. The phone the screenshots show looks very rough, and there is apparently a reason for it. The phone is a dev unit that RIM whipped up and the buttons on the front are just stuck on according to the source.

With the Apple iPhone 4S and iCloud being the stars of the show tonight, it was only a matter of time before two videos popped app at the company official website.
So here they are for your viewing pleasure. If you have not followed the Tim Cook keynote, those videos will do a good job of summing up the best parts of the iPhone 4S and the iCloud service for you.

At this point, we all know that there will be Windows Phone 7.5-running Nokia smartphones announced at the end of this month and now we even got to know the name and release time frame for one of them. The news came from a leaked Orange France roadmap, which mentions the Nokia Sun.
Nokia Sun will come with a 3.7" AMOLED screen, Windows Phone Mango, a 1.4GHz CPU and 16GB of onboard storage. Thats suspiciously close to the specs sheet of the rumored Nokia Sea Ray and since Nokia will hardly release two so similarly-spec devices at the same time, safe money is on those two being the same thing.
An interesting bit revealed by this new leak is that the Nokia Sun will come with a micro SIM card, instead of a regularly-sized one.
We have really sad news to share with you. Steve Jobs Apple co-founder the person who transformed the mobile technology industry, passed away today at the age of 56 due to Cancer.
Following is the statement from Apple:
"We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today.
Steve brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.
His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts."
One of the more interesting things announced at the Lets Talk iPhone event yesterday was Find My Friends for iOS devices. Its basically an optional location tracking service that you can use on your iOS device.
What "Find My Friend" does is lets you share your location with your friends. People will ask you for your location and you can share it with them, provided you trust them enough. After that they will see your location as a dot on the map. It uses your contact information so you can keep track of multiple people. Find My Friend lets you temporarily share your location and shuts down once the specified time runs out.

Samsung just released an intriguing teaser video for their upcoming Samsung Unpacked 2011 event in San Diego at the CTIA convention. At the end of the commercial, the text reads "Something BIG is coming." A curvacious, thin, and arguably beautiful device side shot is shown. We are pretty confident this is Google next Nexus device the "Nexus Prime"
Looks like this extremely slim-Curved Samsung phone will have some sort of three-pin docking system, a curved (possibly Super AMOLED HD) screen, a rightward power button, and a camera that slightly ejects from the back of the device. A previous leak today offered it up as a device with a 4.6-inch screen, 720p display resolution, and no classic four buttons.
More Details Coming Soon!
The HTC Explorer is one of the strongest Android low-end Device. HTC has just released a cool video promo of the affordable smartphone, which does a pretty good job of summing up its key features.
The HTC Explorer is not a smartphone to impress you with a gazillion megahertz CPU or an umpteen megapixel camera thats a task for the Sensation to handle. With the little one its all about simplicity of use, intuitiveness and easy personalization that will attract new smartphone adopters.

We had obtained a Screenshot of the Amazon inventory management system that uses the acronym ALASKA from a verified source.
According to the data, Amazon has been reserving 2,000 Kindle Fire units each hour which works out to more than 50,000 daily. Thus, in the five days since the tablet has been open for pre-orders, 250,000 tablets have been reserved. If this trend continues, Amazon will have 2.5 million tablets "sold" prior to its launch on November 15th which would make the Amazon Kindle Fire the fastest selling tablet in history, outpacing both the Apple iPad and the Apple iPad 2 in first month sales totals.
Samsung Officially Released the Comparison list between the latest apple product iPhone4s and the her latest Product Galaxy S II to show samsung users the real King of the Market, Check the photo below!
Galaxy S II ROCKs!
Yesterday event anounced the new iPhone4s but Disappointedly, it does not sypport NFC. The iPhone 4S does have Bluetooth 4.0 however, But it does open up the door for improvement in some categories of wireless gadgets popular with the iPhone crowd.
So, something like the Nike+ can really benefit from BT4.0 there is barely any data to transfer but improving battery life is a huge plus. BT4.0 is also intended to work as electronic leash, wireless lock, various heart-rate sensors and such. Things like wireless keyboards will probably get in on the action too.
But NFC tries to do something completely different its like a swipe card, only wireless. The higher range works against Bluetooth here (BT 4.0 has a 50M range).
Ever since the Samsung Galaxy Note was unveiled, "Is it a tablet or is it a phone?" is the question on the minds of everyone who sees this 5.3-inch Android device.
Whatever the Note is, its got an impressive 1.4GHz dual-core CPU joined together with a Mali-400MP GPU. Now one thing we do know is Samsung Exynos chip is a powerhouse. Galaxy S Note shows 3x More Performance than the Galaxy S II in all benchamrks.
Galaxy S Note is Now the Most Powerful Android Smartphone on the Market!

Samsung will attempt to block iPhone 4S sales in France and Italy, the company has announced, citing two 3G WCDMA patents it claims Apple has infringed. Filing separate preliminary injunction motions in Paris and Milano today, Samsung claims that Apple "has continued to flagrantly violate our intellectual property rights and free ride on our technology" and that the company believes "it is now necessary to take legal action to protect our innovation."
"The infringed technology is essential to the reliable functioning of telecom networks and devices" Samsung statement explains, going on to point out that the company "believes that Apple violation as being too severe and that the iPhone 4S should be barred from sales." Meanwhile it will not be the only injunction Samsung is seeking: the company says it plans to file further demands for a preliminary block on iPhone 4S sales in other countries after further review.
Siri on iPhone 4S lets you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more. Ask Siri to do things just by talking the way you talk. Siri understands what you say, knows what you mean, and even talks back. Siri is so easy to use and does so much.

Apple iOS5 will be available for Download on October 12th to everyone who got an iPhone4, iPod touch 4G or iPod touch 3G, iPad and iPad 2. OS 5 comes with many improvements from the previous version, most notably the way notifications are handled. While Apple may have taken a page out of the Android playbook with the new implementation of notifications, we are more than happy to rid ourselves of those annoying pop ups. Other new features in iOS five include heavy Twitter integration within core applications, iMessage, Newsstand, PC-Free, and more.
What you are seeing here is the first live photo of the Nexus Prime, which comes to confirm several important specs of the upcoming device. First, we have got the HD resolution of the Super AMOLED confirmed thats 720p on a screen just 4.6" in diagonal. As you can see from the image itself this gives you a pixel density of over 320 ppi, which is certainly more than anyone could need.
We are not sure if the Samsung Nexus Prime display will be using the PenTile matrix, but we can bet that at this pixel density even the most eagle-eyed users will not be able to tell the difference.
Apple just unveiled the newest member of its iPhone lineup of smartphones. Dubbed the iPhone 4S, the latest offering by the Cupertino-based company is more of an incremental upgrade than a complete overhaul of the iPhone 4. Design and dimensions stay the same, but there's a notable increase in processing power.
The Apple iPhone 4S comes with the A5 chipset, which is the SoC that powered the iPad 2. It comes with a dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU and PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU, which as we know is a pretty powerful combo.
The Apple iPhone 4S also improves on the network data speeds of its predecessor. Its not the LTE everyone was hoping for, but 14.4 Mbps is still pretty good for most market. More importantly, however, the iPhone 4S is a true world phone, supporting both GSM and CDMA networks.
The other major upgrade that the Apple iPhone 4S brings is in the camera department. The 5 megapixel shooter of its predecessor has been replaced by an 8 megapixel unit and the video recording has been upgraded from 720p to 1080p.
Start Shipping on October 14th
Apple store has something that called the iPhone 4S to be announced today it was just mentioned being available on October 14 on Apple Ginza, Japan retail store page, and two images labeled "iPhone 4S" have appeared on the Apple Store servers. The images are fairly interesting they show what looks just like an iPhone 4 running iOS 5, but the antenna design is the same as the CDMA version and the ambient light sensor is faintly visible on the black model.
Here is the Photo of the iPhone 4s
Its version is V10K and is intended for all unlocked devices in the Europe Open region. The update does not update your Android version up to Gingerbread, but brings the promised 2D to 3D conversion feature for games.
If you have already played all the 3D games available for the Optimus 3D, now you can automatically switch your standard 2D games into 3D.
iOS 5: Prepare your iPhones, because the final iOS 5 is coming for sure... but perhaps not yet. Most probably it will not be available for download tomorrow the latest beta was not a very good one and there is no sign of the golden master anywhere. Still, if there is no download, there will be a release date and a full tour of the complete operating system, including its new killer feature: Assistant.
• iPhone 4S: We know this is real because we got the exclusive info. The rumor is that it is a cheaper version of the iPhone. I think this is the new iPhone, period. It has appeared in the latest iOS 5 beta and has also been leaked on Germany Vodafone site. An updated iPhone 4 with new A5 processor and more RAM, maybe a better camera, but with the same design. Just like the iPhone 3GS was a faster update to the iPhone 3G.
• New iPod touch: The event invitation says "Let's talk iPhone." That clearly sets the tone and perhaps it's an indication that they will only talk about iPhones. However, traditionally they have also made announcements about iPods during the iPhone events, so they may mention the new models for the holiday season. Or perhaps they will just pass on these completely, just like they usually do when new Macbooks or iMacs appear on the Apple Store without any fanfare.
• Click-wheel iPod is dead: If they talk about iPod, then they most probably will announce the death of all the non-iOS 5 iPods except the touchscreen iPod nano.
• iPhone 5: Despite all the Chinese cases and all the rumors, there is not a single tangible evidence of the iPhone 5. None of the iPhones or any other Apple product in history, for that matter has reached the day before its announcement without a leak in the supply chain. Our bet is that the iPhone 4S is the next iPhone.
• One more thing may be Steve Jobs himself. Some people think he will appear and say hi. I strongly doubt it.
Samsung US anounced that the Samsung Series 7 All-In-One PC does exist and will be coming out to the consumer market soon. This desktop computer will combine a minimalistic design profile at 16mm thin on a 23-inch display with advanced technology for work and play. You will find an Intel Core i3 or Intel Core i5 processor inside with Windows 7 Home Premium backing you up until you get a taste of Windows 8 in the very near future working great with this full-touch display. The team at WebpageFX have compiled a heap of statistics pertaining to the competitive nature of of today smartphone app stores and how they vie for dominance in a crowded smartphone market.
Nokia trying to make sure all goes well once their first Windows Phone 7 handset launches on November. They are reportedly talking to app developers, trying to lure them in and expand the app catalogue of the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace.
Microsoft is also trying to grow the developer base for WP7 through promotions of their own, so devs can cash in on the incentives from both companies.
Nokia is offering app developers funding for their projects, promises to promote the apps and will even pre-load some of them on the upcoming WP7 phone, according to people who are in talks with the Finnish company.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY owners are in for a real treat as Sony has just announced that Xperia play will be getting four top titles for free. The four popular EA games that you can get if you happen to own an Xperia PLAY are Dead Space, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Need for Speed Shift and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.
Thats a first-person shooter, a third person shooter and a couple of racing games, all of the highest quality. To get them you just head to the Game Launcher and start with the downloading. Needless to say, you will be better if you use a Wi-Fi network for that.
Probably not many of you are aware of this, but October is the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month both in the Europe and in the US and in order to show its commitment to the issue, Samsung Netherlands in cooperation with KPN telecom starts selling special Pink Ribbon editions of the Galaxy S Plus and Ch@t 335.
Both handsets will feature white back panels with the special Pink Ribbon logo, showing support to patients with Breast Cancer and hopefully increasing the awareness of the disease, which is not fatal if caught on time. For each unit sold, Samsung will donate 10 Euro to the Pink Ribbon Charityorganization. According to its estimates, Samsung hopes to donate a total of 150,000 Euro. I hope the sales exceed Sammy expectations.
We have seen screenshots of the redesigned Xbox 360 dashboard before that uses the slick new Metro UI but now a video has leaked that gives us a nice little tour of the interface and all the various menu options that we can expect to see when the update is released this fall.
The video is low resolution and a bit blurry. Moreover there is no audio and the text is all in French so its basically like watching a French movie with no audio and subtitles. You still get a good look at the UI, including the new Bing search bar. Unfortunately, there is no web browser built-in and you are limited to searching content for Xbox. Everything else seems the same as what we have now, just in a different looking interface.
The development of the latest member of the Samsung Galaxy family is obviously ahead of schedule. The Korean company just announced that the 5.3-inch Galaxy Note phoneblet will be hitting the shelves around Europe before October has ended.
Germany, UK and France will be getting dedicated launch events, which also suggests that they will be the first to receive the Android-powered device. The rest of Europe should follow shortly after that, while Samsung homeland will be getting the Galaxy Note in November.
To make it up to its compatriots for making them wait another month, Samsung will be equipping the Korean Galaxy Note with LTE connectivity. Adding super-fast network connectivity currently available to the huge HD Super AMOLED and that powerful Exynos chipset.
Nokia Ace
The most interesting of the bunch is codenamed Nokia Ace and will, reportedly, come with a 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED, 1.4GHz CPU and 16GB of internal storage. The Ace will also features an 8MP autofocus camera with Carl Zeiss-certified lens, HSPA+ connectivity and an ample 1800 mAh battery.
Nokia Sea Ray
Then comes the Nokia Sea Ray, which leaked several times before. Its ClearBlack AMOLED will measure 3.7" in diagonal and its CPU will be clocked at 1.4GHz. 16GB of storage will have cover for your multimedia needs, while the 8MP Carl Zeiss camera should let you take pretty great photos. The Nokia Sea Ray will be powered by a 1540 mAh battery and will run on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.
Nokia Sabre
Nokia Sabre a Mango-running smartphone will have interchangeable back covers for easy personalization. It will pack yet another 1.4GHz CPU, but its autofocus camera will only do 5 megapixel stills. The 3.7-inch screen will be downgraded to LCD. The Nokia Sabre internal storage of 8GB does not sound like much, but since Windows Phone smartphones have access to 25GB of free cloud storage, it will probably suffice.
This photo leaked from T-mobile Germany for the Nokia Windows phone 7.5 Mango. The Poster is in german and it says:
"Drive safely to your destination with Nokia including 3D. Representation and voice navigation Windows Mobile 7.5 (Mango) operating system. 3.7" brilliant domed AMOLED display."
The phone itself looks identical to the N9, as it did in all the previous leaks, which means it is also very easy to fake an image like this. Just like The Nokia Blog, we are finding the idea that Nokia would call the final version of this phone by the name 'Searay' a bit hard to swallow. More so because recently Nokia opened a poll to decide the name for their series of Windows Phone 7 devices, with options like Phoenix, Genesis, etc. This means the actual phones will probably be called something like the Nokia Genesis N1 rather than simply 'Searay'.
A few very interesting things came out from this listing. First, the iPhone 4S will be coming in both white and black, which was quite expected. Whats more important though is that it will have the same design and dimensions as the iPhone 4, as it will obviously use the same bumpers. One cannot help, but wonder if they fixed the death grip issues.
The listing also mentions 64GB of storage, which will be a first for the iPhone. Previously, iPhone storage options only went as high as 32GB, but you will be able to get twice that with the iPhone 4S.
The final bit of info that we found on that page concerns the current iPhone. The iPhone 4 will obviously follow the 3GS footsteps and will be relegated to the mid-range in an 8GB flavor. That one will be available in both black and white colors, so those hoping to get a white iPhone 4 on the cheap will get their chance now.
Earlier today, Microsoft Security Essentials mistakenly flagged Google Chrome as malware "Win32/Zbot" a trojan that steal your saved Passwords and began blocking the program. In many instances Chrome was entirely removed from users computers. Apparently, Chrome was being incorrectly identified as a member of the Zeus malware family, but Microsoft has since released an update to fix the issue.
Complaints started early this morning in Google help forums, where users became frustrated after discovering that their Chrome browser had been wiped from their PCs. Some users recounted that upon starting up their PCs, they received a Windows Security warning to remove a security problem. After clicking the Remove button and restarting the PC, they found that Chrome had gotten deleted and could not be re-installed.
Microsoft has since apologized for the mistake and issued a statement along with updated signatures that should fix the problem.
It appears that in addition to the other few leaks from this weekend, the folks at Cincinnati Bell will be on Apple naughty list as it seems they have leaked a bit of info on the iPhone 5 pre-maturely. What we can see here is that, even though the page was removed an instant after it was discovered to be live, the iPhone 5 32GB does exist, and Cincinnati Bell will be carrying it.
In addition, another so-called screenshot was taken by the same fellow, Randy K, which shows an iPhone 4S with a 3.5-inch display, A5 processor, and 5 megapixel camera, all this for $99 USD after $300 rebate.
Leaked Specifications concerning a third Nokia Windows Phone 7 set for release later this month, its Code-Named will be Nokia Ace, suggesting a 4.3-inch AMOLED using ClreadBack Display aka CBD the color constract boosting technology by Nokia. The Ace will be headed to ATT in Q1,2012 with an 8-megapixel autofocus camera using Carl Zeiss optics and a 1,800 mAh Battery with 1.4Ghz CPU (Qualcomm) and 16GB/32GB of internal Memory.
The rumor fits with information previously anounced by me that Nokia would initially reveal three Windows Phone handsets at Nokia World 2011 in late October.
The Android only N64 emulator might not seem particularly special amongst the many console emulators available for droids nowadays, but a recent update caused a particular stir to the gamer in me .
Once it launched, the Desire S came running Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 and HTC Sense 2.1 UI out of the box. With this update, not only does your S get a boost from Gingerbread 2.3.3 to 2.3.5, but Sense UI moves up to 3.0 which means key updates like the interactive lock screens, new animations, an updated launcher as well as a host of new widgets, the latest version of the Android Market and access to HTC Watch service. Users are also reporting better GPS performance.
The Samsung Galaxy Note looks to be gracing the US of A with its presence following the FCC recent approval of the device support for ATT 3G bands, news that will no doubt bring a smile to gadget-heads across the nation.
Whats really great about the Note new FCC approval is that it not only includes support for ATT 3G bands but will also be capable of '4G' read HSPA+ speeds which is no bad thing by any stretch of the imagination.
Japanese SoftBank is further beefing-up its portfolio with Panasonic LUMIX Phone 101P. As you can imagine a rocking a 13.2-megapixel camera sensor with Mobile Venus Engine along with what seems as Xenon flash. In addition, it also packs a 4-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) touchscreen, TI 1GHz dual-core OMAP4430 processor, HSPA+ (up to 21Mbps on the downlink) and Wi-Fi connectivity, and other "standard for a high-end smartphone" goodies like sensors, microSD slot, Bluetooth.

Following the introduction of Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, Microsoft have dubbed the next iteration of their mobile platform Apollo and they have taken to asking their users as to what features they would like to see as the OS develops.
For starters, it great to see Microsoft taking this approach, if you are in camp Android but have used iOS or WP7, you might have found that restrictive elements of both OS intrude on your general phone usage from time to time. That being said a more enclosed platform allows for greater security, management and control, so its a double edged sword.

This iPhone 5 mockup was made using CAD drawings, CNC tools and some aluminum. Now we should stress that if you have not already guessed it this is not the next iPhone and its not some real-life prototype Apple lost in a bar or anything of the sort. Its just a very crafty mockup based on the leaked case designs so far and nothing more.

The latest Rumor are the iPhone 5 cases that had popped up in ATT inventory database. The Photo above and below is for the cases packaging.
An ATT shop assistant clothing has sent these pictures to MacRumors. They show the previously leaked Case-Mate cases for the iPhone 5. Judging by them the next incarnation of the iPhone will be way thinner than the current iPhone 4, the LG Optimus Black and the Samsung Galaxy S II somewhere along the lines of the iPad and sharing the same design as the slate with similar tapered edges.

Remember how Google announced during the I/O conference that devices would have a support life up to 18 months of their release date? Well, it seems that HTC is being true to Google words. There was a statement a while back that said that the Desire S would not have support for Sense 3.0. Well, guess what it just rolled out to Orange UK Desire S users.
The update has been confirmed by quite a few users, the OP has provided screen shots that clearly show the device running Sense 3.0 with Android 2.3.5. Quite a few people are still waiting for the OTA to roll in, but it looks like this unannounced, much needed update is the real deal.

Skype for Android has received an update to version 2.5, bringing along video support to a group of 13 new devices. The list contains a mix of both smartphones and tablets, including the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Motorola DROID BIONIC and LG Optimus 3D Additionally, the latest version of Skype adds in features such as landscape mode for video chat, improved Bluetooth headset support, and the ability to delete and edit instant messages. One change that might not be so welcome is the inclusion of in-app ads for users without Skype credit or Premium account.
With only five days left before Apple officially anounce the long waited iPhone 5, we have yet another iPhone 5 related rumor. This time, it comes from ATT own inventory database, where cases for the most anticipated smartphone to launch this year have surfaced.
Sharp AQUOS PHONE 102SH
Starting with Sharp AQUOS PHONE 102SH. This one is built around a 4.5-inch LCD of HD resolution (329dpi) that supports glasses-free 3D and a TI OMAP 4430 chipset with its 1GHz dual-core CPU and 1GB of RAM.
The element-resistant smartphone is just 9.7mm thick and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Its main camera does 12 megapixel stills and 1080p videos, while connectivity includes everything from 3G to Infrared.
Panasonic Lumix Phone 101P
Next comes the Panasonic Lumix Phone 101P with its 4" qHD LCD and 13 megapixel camera with Lumix sensor. It shares some of the major features of the AQUOS 102SH - the TI OMAP 4430 chipset, the waterproof body and the Android 2.3 platform.
The Panasonic Lumix Phone 101P weighs in a mere 128g and measures just 9.8mm in thickness. The Lumuix Phone 101P and the AQUOS PHONE 102SH are also sporting digital TV antennas as customary for Japanese high-end handsets.
Dell Streak Pro 101DL
Finally, we have the Dell Streak Pro 101DL, which makes it the third Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone announced today. Its 4.3" qHD AMOLED display sounds really exciting and the Snapdragon chipset with dual 1.5GHz Scorpion cores is not bad to have either.
Changing Home Screen Icons
The first thing you will need to do is to check whether your launcher lets you change icons of the shortcuts on your home screen. Not all of them do, but the good news is that switching to one that does is as easy as installing the app from the market. Here are three of the best known launchers for Android, and a look at how one can change icons within each in bulk or one-by-one.
For the purpose of this tutorial, I am only going to cover how to change icons of individual shortcuts on the home screen. You might also want to check out our collection of outstanding Android themes, static and live wallpapers, or the many different ways you can customize your Android experience.
ADW Launcher click to Download
Perhaps one of the oldest and most popular Android launcher replacements, ADW Launcher even comes pre-installed as default with the popular CyanogenMod custom ROM. Known for its heavy focus on customization, ADW Launcher lets you change pretty much every aspect of the home screens. Here’s how to change the icon once you have added a shortcut:
- On your home screen, long press the icon you want to edit.
- In the menu, tab ‘Edit’. You will see a dialog box with the current icon, a button to choose a different app and an input field for the icon label.
- Tap the icon in the dialog box.
- Here you can:
- ‘Select picture’ to simply pick one from the media gallery,
- ‘Select and crop picture’ to use a part of an image as an icon,
- Choose an icon from an installed ‘ADWTheme Icon Pack’, or
- ‘Restore’ the default icon for that app.
As you might have guessed from the list in the last step, ADW Launcher comes with support for themes to modify pretty much every part of the launcher. Themes often come with their own sets of icons for most of the common apps on Android, and matching elements for the dock, home screen, wallpapers, etc.
LauncherPro click to Download
The other half of the most popular Android launcher duo, LauncherPro is known for its extensive feature-set and snappiness. The free version comes with all the bells and whistles you would expect from an Android launcher replacement, but if you want the custom widgets it offers, you will need to purchase LauncherPro Plus. The one downside of LauncherPro in this case is that it will not let you change the icon of a shortcut once it has been added to the home screen. You need to do that while adding the shortcut. Here us how:
- Long press on an empty area of your home screen.
- In the ‘Add to Home screen’ menu, select ‘Shortcuts’.
- Tap ‘Applications’ and choose an installed app from the list.
- Once you select a shortcut or app, you will see a dialog box with the default icon and an input field for the label. Tap the icon to go to the gallery and choose an icon from wherever you have saved your icons.
- Tap ‘Ok’ to go back to your home screen.
Although LauncherPro does not support themes for customizing the appearance of the launcher, it does support icon themes, which are limited to changing icons for all known applications on the device. If all you are looking to do is get a set of consistent looking icons for all the apps on your phone, this should suffice.
Go Launder Ex click to Download
Go Launcher Ex is a relatively new entrant in the launcher space, but is nowhere behind the others in terms of power and flexibility. The app is continuously in development, with updates and new features coming out every week. Changing icons of existing home screen shortcuts is easier with Go Launcher Ex than both the previous options we saw. Here is how you do it:
- Tap and hold on the icon you want to change.
- In the menu that appears, tap ‘Replace’.
- Choose whether you want to use the default icon, pick one from the current Go Launcher Ex theme, or use a custom icon.
- If you selected ‘Theme’s icon’, simply choose one from the icons that appear next.
- If you elected to use a custom icon, browse to the folder where you have saved your icons and choose one.
Like ADW Launcher, Go Launcher Ex also supports themes that customize the appearance of every piece of the launcher. From what I have seen and tried, I find the themes for Go Launcher Ex way ahead of the rest in terms of customizability, aesthetics and overall consistency. This could be partly because the development team behind Go Launcher Ex releases a pretty long list of official themes themselves, alongside the ones put out by the community.
If you have got a Symbian phone you are probably eagerly waiting for the Belle update to hit your phone. We did try to help make the wait more bearable with our detailed Belle review and now Nokia seems to have something more for you.
The company has created an interactive Symbian Belle demo that you can enjoy right from the comfort of your Facebook account. It even uses your contacts and everything.
HTC cannot stop announcing Android smartphones these days, and the HTC Explorer the company droid on a budget is the latest to slot into the range. We are talking at the bottom of the range, mind the Explorer replaces the easily-forgotten HTC Smart and falls under the Wildfire S, with its 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, 600MHz processor and 3-megapixel camera.
Other specs include 3G, WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0, along with GPS and a microSD card slot to expand the minuscule 483MB ROM. No front-facing camera, of course, and the 512MB of RAM is minimal, though you do still get Android 2.3.5 and HTC Sense 3.5. The latter, as we saw on the HTC Rhyme, prioritizes ease of use, with simple homescreen shortcuts and Smart URL Prediction that guesses the address you might want to visit based on the top 100 sites.
Facebook HTML5 app push, codenamed Project Spartan looks set to launch next week, with a Monday unveil for the mobile platform and the iPad Facebook app.
The scheduling is designed to offer Facebook a fallback option if Apple decides not to share stage-space with the social network at the iPhone 5 launch on October 4. Meanwhile, a prematurely posted Facebook page seemingly documented exactly what Project Spartan will offer to users and developers.
Samsung already sent-out the invitations for the Unpacked event, which will be held at the CTIA expo and will be co-hosted by Google. And that might mean just one thing it will be the event that will see the introduction of Android Ice cream sandwich and its first bearer the Nexus Prime.
And its not just the new reincarnation of the world best-selling popular OS that deserves attention. The Samsung Nexus Prime should be a pretty hot piece of technology itself with its rumored 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED screen and powerful Exynos chipset with a couple of 1.5 GHz CPU cores.
Samsung have the luxury of making their own chips. The Exynos chipset, which debuted with the Samsung Galaxy S II at a mere 1.2GHz is getting a 1.5GHz version, called the Exynos 4212.
Samsung also has a pair of high-end mobile cameras headed for the production line. One is a 16MP main shooter with a back illuminated sensor for better low-light performance and the other is a 1.2MP module with 720p@30fps capture capabilities for front-facing cameras.
We cannot quite make out the Google-translated press release but it seems the front facing camera will have 1/8.2 sensor (that sounds pretty small, but we'll see) and the ISO of the main shooter goes up to 1,600.
The Upcoming Android Icecream Sandwich 2.4 was leaked to Gogle Nexus S with many improvements nad new UI, Also an Advanced task manager.
One look at the UI and we can see it matches what we have already seen of it. The homescreen now has four icons at the bottom next to the application drawer button, the folder function seems to have had a makeover, there is a new look notification screen and an application drawer that looks straight out of Honeycomb as does the new task manager with large thumbnail images of the running apps.
What we have not seen before is the new lock screen. You can now see that you will be able to launch the camera app right from the lock screen. Android phones from HTC and other OEMs have had this functionality before but its only now that Android is getting it by default. Hopefully this feature is customizable so you will be able to add other functions as well other than the camera app.
Video Below!
Good Question is this the Upcoming iPhone5 leaked on a video ? is it a protot-type ? Well, The Answer is NO, its FAKE! see the video below and you will see its faked very carefully to make us beilve its a leaked protoype.
All evidence leads to this video being a fake. We noticed that when launching the two apps (Safari and a game) the guy never lifts his thumb off the icon and iOS does not work that way. The game level also starts without anyone touching the Touch To Start button. Then the dates on the lockscreen and on the homescreen do not match up. The guy also does not show the phone all around and even makes a point of hiding the home button the whole time.

The Open Graph allows apps to model user activities based on actions and objects. A running app may define the ability to "run" (action) a "route" (object). A reading app may define the ability to "read" (action) a "book" (object). A recipe app may define the ability to "cook" (action) to a "recipe" (object). Actions are verbs that users perform in your app. Objects define nouns that the actions apply to. After a user adds your app to their Timeline, app specific actions are shared on Facebook via the Open Graph. As your app becomes an important part of how users express themselves, these actions are more prominently displayed throughout the Facebook Timeline, News Feed, and Ticker. This enables your app to become a key part of the user and their friend experience on Facebook.

- You have to connect your WP7 device to the Zune software, select it and then go to settings and then update.
- Once you get the message that there is not an available update, just pick any of the options above or below the word Update (linking, sync.. etc). Then select update again.
- Wait for a second or two and disconnect your Internet connection (I simply unplugged my LAN cable). If you have got the timing right, Zune should tell you that there is an update waiting at which point you reconnect to the web and you can go through the update process.
Amazon announced several new devices today, ranging from a $79 eBook reader that uses electronic ink to a $199 tablet with a 7 inch IPS display called the Fire. One thing they talked about that immediately grabbed my attention was the web browser that comes preinstalled on Fire.
Its called Silk and its supposed to improve your browsing experience because it ties into Amazon cloud services, so it will be able to do things like compress images, text, that sort of stuff. This is not really anything new. The folks at Opera Software have been doing this since 2005 on mobile devices with Opera Mini.
There are some good news and some bad news for the MeeGo fans out there. The good news is that their platform is not dead, despite Nokia giving up on its development. The bad news is that MeeGo will have to go through another transformation in order to live on. So its so long to MeeGo, long live to Tizen.
Latest news is that Intel has finally found the partner it was looking for to help it shape MeeGo in Samsung. The Koreans will join Intel and The Linux Foundation in the development of Tizen a new open-source project, of which Meego will become a part of.
Square Enix and SE have teamed up to offer Xperia Play users an exclusive Lara Croft game that they can download and play starting in November..
The game is called Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. It appears that in the plan on Sony Ericsson part to get gamers interested in the Play is to get exclusive games that only owners of the gaming phone will be able to get, at least to start with.
RIM Has just anounced that its newset tablet Playbook will not support apps that use Google in-app purchasing system, while the cloud-to-device messaging system is also unusable in RIM implementation of the runtime. Android Live Wallpapers will not be supported, and nor will anything built using the Android Native Development Kit. Also Android apps that consist of more than a single activity tied to the launcher will not run either.
The confirmation comes as a blow to those hoping Android app support could prove the PlayBook salvation, at least until RIM boosted its QNX device range.
