Nokia has just launched the latest version of the Ovi Maps app for mobile devices. The new v3.06 brings along a handful of improvements including revamped user interface, better search experience, maps with public transport lines and more. As of v3.06 the Ovi Maps will look a bit different the main menu and the icons have been redesigned. The search engine has been improved as well and thanks to the added suggestions for your search topic.

The major improvements to Ovi Maps 3.06: 

• Visually refreshed main menu and icons,
• New maps with public transport lines (as a new map layer) for subways, trams and trains in 80+ cities around the world. Just click the map toolbox icon and select Transit lines,
• Improved search experience - find places and addresses around you - or anywhere in the world - fast and easily. Browse places or enter a keyword in the search box. Now with suggestions and "did you mean?" functionality,
• New place pages with description, reviews, pictures and places nearby. Interact with places in a whole new way - you can check in, contact, navigate, save, rate, share, report or see place on the map,
• Share a place - send a place to your friends via SMS or Email. The SMS contains the address and a link to the place page with description, ratings, contact, URL and a mini map. The link opens up on the mobile browser (also on non-Nokia devices),
• Check in - keep your friends up-to-date with where you are and what you're up to. Check in to places and share it with your friends on Facebook and many more social networks. See places you’ve been to in your check in history,
• New Drive assistance mode with live traffic flow - after clicking Drive, you're instantly in drive assistance mode with live traffic flow and more. Once you start moving, get safety camera alerts and speed limit warnings,
• More folder with many rich content services relevant to your location. Personalise your Ovi Maps by selecting the services you'd like to keep on your main menu for instant access.

AMOLED vs. S-LCD match. S-LCD does well in contrast and color reproduction though not so well when it comes to the promised lower power usage and sunlight legibility.

You have probably heard threes a Global AMOLED shortage, which has forced makers like HTC to switch from AMOLED to S-LCD for some on its models like the HTC Desire.

S-LCD was sharper than AMOLED and offered better color reproduction along with better contrast. AMOLED parried with more vibrant colors and darker blacks.

Viewing angles on both HTC Desire phones turned out to be very good but the S-LCD handled vertical angles better while the AMOLED screen did better when titled sideways.

The Nokia C6-01 from the Economic Cseries runs on the same OS and CPU chip as Nokia N8 ARM 11 680Mhz and Symbian^3 but it has less camera Resolution 8MP with LED flash but Also shoots HD videos @720p too and Many Other features like USB-on-Go same as E7,C7 and N8 has the same screen AMOLED Capactitive screen. This phone will be Released on Q4,2010 Also and it will be cheaper than the N8 and the E7,C7 too.
