bb9300

RIM is there something you'd like to tell us about this unannounced BlackBerry Curve 9300 that's up and dancing on Rogers' website right now with a $79.99 Canadian price tag on a three-year contract? We're looking at a quad-band GSM and HSDPA 850/1900/2100 candybar with 802.11n WiFi, GPS, 256MB of RAM, a 2 megapixel camera, microSD expansion (2GB in the box), and 2.4-inch display throwing 320 x 240 pixels. And no, that's not the latest and greatest OS which makes us wonder about the possibility for a BlackBerry 6 upgrade

Disclosure: The photo above isn't supposed to be the next iPod touch. It's a photo mock upthat one case manufacturer apparently made to match the specs provided by Apple. As you can clearly see, though, there's a rear-facing camera with flash. Does this mean Apple is finally ready to put a camera in the Touch?

If you recall last year about this time, there was leak after leak after leak after leakindicating that the next iPod touch incarnation was getting a camera. But then the Stevenote rolled around and it didn’t happen. The rumor mill stated that it was due to some manufacturing snafu, but no one really knows. Instead the iPod nano got the camera.

Perhaps it will be different this time around. The last iPod touch refresh happened in early September, just in time for the holiday spending spree, so hopefully Apple will spill the beans within a few weeks.

Here is something for all iPad hardcore geeks: the Padnote is a sketch pad that has an iPad like cover and 64 sheets of drawing paper with grid lines and a wide gray border.

It's the brain child of a small Japanese startup called Gocco, which managed to land several deals with brick and mortar stores and major department store chains nationwide. Needless to say, the Padnote's size exactly matches that of the iPad (242.8 mm x 189.7 mm).

In Japan, it has been actually on sale since May (price: $8.35). Contact specialized online store Rinkya if you are interested but don't live in Japan.

As we know the current generation of BB OS have a terrible browser. But the upcoming BB OS 6 would run a webkit fast browser same as safari on iOS and Android browser too.

So Running a Test to compare three different Web Browser BB OS6 (Blackberry torch) with BB OS5 with iOS 4 (iPhone 4) and the Samsung Captivate

BB is slightly slower (just a few seconds) than the iPhone 4 and the Captivate. And this Because of the BB torch which slower than iPhone 4 and captivate by 624Mhz in processor speed and the Browser code glitches so its not Completely 100% accurate comparison.

But here is the Video to see the progress of every browser:

Pretty much every major US carrier decided to pick up, modify, and show-off Samsung's Android-powered wunderphōn, the Galaxy S. Yet, despite announcing it back in June, there's still one variant that hasn't been revealed: Verizon's Fascinate. Well until today, that is…

Clearly, either Verizon or Samsung have a mole in their midst, as another Verizon-bound Samsung also leaked today: the entry-level Samsung Gem.

The specs of the Gem are practically non-existent, it's just known to have a smaller screen than the Fascinate, and will run the same TouchWiz 3.0 UI (love it or hate it).

And, of course, you already know the specs of the Fascinate: take a Galaxy S, reduce the on-board storage to 2GB, and throw in a camera flash. I know I'd prefer a flash over the extra on-board storage (microSD FTW), so it's a winner in my books.

The Gem is expected to launch early September, with the Fascinate following it later in the month. No word on pricing just yet.
