Motorola Atrix 2 aka Edison just got a full confirmed specs list, along with official images of the phone and the laptop dock it will be straddling.
The Motorola Atrix 2 will have a 4.3-inch QHD display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal memory, expandable up to 32GB (2GB card included) and an 8 megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash. It will work only on AT&T HSPA+ LTE Network
A tantalizing new Motorola smartphone has just leaked through the taps of the interweb. Called Motorola DROID RAZR, the device is packing some serious kit in that sleek Kevlar and Gorilla glass body.
First of all, it has a 4.3-inch QHD display, but its not your run-of-the-mill LCD but a Super AMOLED display. There is a good chance that it will be a PenTile-matrix display but most people could not care less about the underlying technology when the actual image quality happens to be eye-poppingly good.
The good news is that Verizon and HTC have not forgotten about the Incredible 2 users. As a matter of fact, the two companies have just issued the Android 2.3.4 update, which mostly deals with weird roaming performance. For instance, users will now be able to dial the "+1" prefix when roaming internationally in CDMA markets. Moreover, there is a new option to set Data roaming for "all trips" or for "individual trips," while sending and receiving of messages in roaming is also improved.
Additionally, this release also packs improved server connections for email synchronization and Mail application stability, which is also the case with the Visual Voice Mail application.
Looks like Motorola has developed a fetish for beveled corners recently. After the Photon 4G and the recently leaked 7-inch tablet, another Motorola device has leaked on which the company has cut corners, literally.
This time we are looking at leaked images of the alleged Motorola Xoom 2, the successor to the not-so-popular Motorola Xoom tablet. Unlike the previously leaked tablet this one seems to have a 10-inch display just like its predecessor. We can also see dual cameras on the device, along with stereo speakers and what looks like a SIM and microSD card slot at the bottom. There are apparently micro USB and HDMI ports on the bottom as well.
The most noticable change from the older model is the design and at least to our eyes it looks a hell of a lot better. It also looks thinner and taller than before.
Other major change being reported is that the display no longer uses the PenTile matrix layout of the Atrix display, opting for the superior and commonly used RGB layout. The display size and resolution remains the same at 4.3-inch and QHD respectively.
