Alongside the announcement of the Samsung Infuse 4G handset, another impressive device was revealed at ATT Developer Summit today at CES. The Motorola Atrix 4G runs Android 2.2 and is the first to feature a dual-core Tegra 2 processor in the ATT lineup.

The device first leaked in early December with the name Olympus and has a 4-inch display of qHD resolution (540x960 pixels) and the impressive 1GB RAM. The 16GB internal memory can be expanded via microSD memory cards.

The Motorola Atrix 4G camera is 5MP still the standard for high-end smartphones these days. HSPA+ is the best the device can offer on the network connectivity side and a massive 1930 mAh battery is supposed to keep the whole thing buzzing for more than 9 hours of talk time. Surprisingly the weight is kept under control 136g is a very good achievement considering what's inside.

As an Atrix 4G accessory, Motorola is going to launch what they call a Webtop. It transforms the phone to a netbookishly looking device with a 11.6-inch screen, a full-sized QWERTY keyboard. Using the Webtop with the Atrix 4G will provide additional 8 hours of battery life, thanks to the 36Whr battery included in the unit.

Motorola Atrix 4G will start shipping in the first quarter of this year. Pricing is not yet revealed, but be sure that we will let you know as soon as details emerge!

It seems Motorola is preparing a successor of its CLIQ and DEXT devices. A picture of Motorola CLIQ 2 for T-Mobile USA has leaked early today revealing a very interesting honeycomb-styled QWERTY keyboard.

Motorola CLIQ 2 is the next high-end smartphone in the Motorola lineup. It will pack big-enough capacitive touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, all-round connectivity and a unique QWERTY keyboard. Its design resembles the honeycomb pattern, which might be a clue the supposedly Android Froyo or Gingerbread inside will be upgradeable to 3.0 Honeycomb.

There is also a chance the CLIQ 2 will be HSPA+ capable. Motorola CLIQ 2 is supposed to be announced at the upcoming CES 2011 and launched on 19 January.

XOOM

I think we All know that Motorola will be the manufacturer of the first Honeycomb-running tablet, that will see its official announcement next week at CES. What none of us knew so far was the name of the device, but now we have got that covered too.

The 10-inch Android slate will be called Motorola Droid Xoom, according to Droid-Life sources, close to the American company. They have also denied the rumors that the tablet will be LTE-capable, but a proper USB slot that could possibly accommodate an LTE modem has not been ruled out just yet.

Its just one week until the Motorola Droid Xoom is officially showcased so all remaining questions will get their answers soon.

The Christmas mood of all the Motorola MILESTONE owners will be gone after reading those lines. Motorola did it again: the company is postponing the release of MILESTONE long awaited Froyo treatment for Q1 2011.

The Froyo update for the Motorola MILESTONE was said to arrive in Europe by the end of this year but as it turns out the company is being lazy yet again and will not release the software update until Q1 2011.

To refresh your memory, the MILESTONE was launched back in November 2009 and was promised to have a Flash-ready web browser. Well, the Adobe Flash Player 10.1 still is not compatible with the MILESTONE.

This comes only a little while after another disturbing news involving Motorola name hit the headlines. A month ago the company announced that the recently launched Motorola DEFY will taste the Froyo across Europe by the end of Q2 2011 while the Motorola MILESTONE XT720 is destined to serve Eclair for life.

Now here is an interesting video in which Motorola is teasing us with its upcoming Android-based tablet. The device is going to run the next iteration of Android, codenamed Honeycomb.

The thing is we have already seen an unannounced Motorola tablet in a pretty close encounterand we’ve also seen it waltzing on stage, so we do not think Motorola has a enough left to surprise us, but who knows.

Following the Android product cycle, Android Honeycomb will not be available before the summer of 2011, but obviously Motorola will have something ready to show as at CES 2011, which is due in early January next year. I guess, we’re about to see in a few weeks.
