The LG CineBeam S is Now Official, with a Hefty Price

If you’re in the market for a new premium projector, then you might want to check out LG’s new CineBeam S, a premium entertainment system that comes in a compact package with smart features. Available via select retailers, the CineBeam S is priced at around $1400-1500 (when converted).

In terms of specifications, the CineBeam S can project 4K (3,840 x 2,160) images using Ultra Short Throw (UST) technology, and can reproduce images from 40 to 100 inches diagonally. LG adds that the projector’s RGB laser system is capable of 154 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut for more accurate colours, in addition to 500 ANSI lumens of brightness.

The projector also comes with stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos audio, and runs on LG’s webOS platform, that acts as a smart hub for content streaming, giving users access to popular streaming apps like Netflix, YouTube, and more. Users can also choose to stream content from their mobile devices.

Measuring at just 110 × 160 × 160mm and weighing 1.9 kilograms, the CineBeam is pretty compact and should fit effortlessly in most indoor setups, and also comes with a dedicated HDMI port, in addition to a pair of USB-C ports in the mix.
