Nvidia announced that its founder and CEO, Jensen Huang, will deliver the keynote at a major AI conference, GTC DC, in Washington, D.C., on October 28, highlighting Nvidia’s role in driving U.S.-led global technological innovation.

The event, named GTC DC, draws inspiration from Nvidia’s prominent annual GPU Technology Conference (GTC) in San Jose, often dubbed the “AI Woodstock” or “Super Bowl of AI.” It will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from October 27–29.

Why it matters: Huang’s keynote underscores his growing engagement with Washington, including regular discussions with President Trump, whom he recently convinced to lift restrictions on chip sales to China.

According to Nvidia, GTC DC will bring together government officials, industry leaders, and academics to discuss AI innovation, U.S. manufacturing, and America’s role in the global AI ecosystem.

The conference will host over 70 sessions, featuring live demonstrations, training, certifications, and hands-on workshops covering topics such as robotics, AI infrastructure, physical AI, agentic AI, reasoning AI, remote sensing, high-performance computing, and quantum computing.

In a statement, Huang said: “AI is the most revolutionary technology in human history, and the race is on. GTC DC unites researchers, developers, business leaders, and policymakers in the nation’s capital to explore advancements in AI, robotics, life sciences, energy, quantum computing, and 6G—driving innovations critical to America’s technological leadership.”
