Headphones these days come in all shapes and sizes, and it doesn’t surprise us that a number of manufacturers have gone to great lengths to add a bit of uniqueness to their own offerings. Take for example Razer’s new “Kraken Kitty V3” series, which features built-in kitty ears aimed at streamers and gamers looking for something a bit more out of the ordinary.
First up is the Kraken Kitty V3 Pro, a wireless gaming headset that features customizable kitty ears powered by Razer Chroma RGB, which can dynamically react to games and live streams. The Kitty V3 Pro offers connectivity options via Razer HyperSpeed Wireless for low-latency gaming, Bluetooth 5.3 for mobile use, as well as a wired USB-A connection.
For audio, the headset uses Razer TriForce Titanium 40mm Drivers along with THX Spatial Audio for immersive 7.1 surround sound. It also includes a retractable Razer HyperClear Super Wideband Mic, along with ear cushions made from protein leatherette and memory foam for a more comfortable fit. It’s priced starting at $179.99.
Razer also announced the Kraken Kitty V3 X, which is a bit different by way of a 3.5mm wired connection. The headset comes with Razer’s HyperClear Cardioid Mic for voice pickup, in addition to TriForce 40 mm Drivers for more immersive audio, as well as 7.1 Surround Sound for enhanced spatial awareness. It’s also more affordable at just around 60 bucks.
