Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Edge: 6GB RAM, dual curved display and everything we know so far

As we reported earlier, there will probably be only one variant of the Galaxy Note 7 this year and it will have an Edge display. Although the specifications are more or less out by this point, we can never be sure until and unless we actually hear an official announcement on August 2. Nevertheless, here are the important bits from what we know about the upcoming Note so far.

CPU – Exynos 8890 (Overclocked) for Europe and Snapdragon 823 for the US

RAM – 6GB

Display – Quad High Definition (1440p) Super AMOLED Dual Edge display (5.8-inch curved screen)

Battery – 4,000mAh

Rear camera – The same 12-megapixel camera as seen on the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, but with better software

It may also sport a first of its kind iris scanner, an USB Type-C port and IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. There was and possibly still is a bit of confusion regarding the type of display that the upcoming Note will sport, but all major signs and reports indicate that only an Edge variant will be made available this year.
