Pixel 10 leak confirms Qi2 charging with new Pixelsnap accessory

The Pixel 10 Qi2 charging feature has now been all but confirmed. A new leak from Evan Blass shows the Pixel 10 in Indigo with a round charging puck magnetically attached to its back. The design looks just like Google’s hardware, and many believe this is the long-rumored Pixelsnap Charger.

What makes this notable is the presence of Qi2 magnets. Google skipped Qi2 on the Pixel 9 series, arguing that regular Qi was more widely supported and Qi2 didn’t offer meaningful advantages. But now, the Pixel 10 appears to have fully embraced the new Qi2 charging. That puck doesn’t just sit on the phone, it snaps into place, which only works if the magnets are there. And if the base model has them, it’s safe to assume the Pro will too.

The leaked image also gives us a glimpse at the official Pixel 10 Pro case, which looks unchanged from the Pixel 9 Pro’s design. But it’s the accessories that are more telling. Between the custom Tensor G5 chipset, Pixel-only software features, and now Qi2-backed wireless charging with proprietary gear, Google is building a hardware ecosystem that’s starting to resemble Apple’s.

It might have taken a few generations, but the Pixel 10 shows Google is serious about tying the entire Pixel experience together through the phone, software, and now accessories too.
