The Honor Play 10C is Super Affordable, but There’s a Catch

While most entry-level phones these days go for around 200 or maybe even 150 bucks at the lowest, it’s rare to see them go for much lower than even a hundred bucks, although it looks like Honor has gone ahead and done this anyway. The Honor Play 10C is a new budget smartphone that starts at just around $90 (when converted), making it one of Honor’s most affordable smartphones at the moment.

With that being said, there’s no denying that the 10 PlayC is a budget smartphone—everything from the 6.61-inch LCD panel (720×1604), the single 13MP rear camera, MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, all the way to the plastic build screams “affordable,” although we’d assume that most people interested in getting this phone are mostly buying it mainly for its price.

There are some upsides though, such as the IP64 rating which adds some much-welcome dust and moisture protection, as well as a large 6,000 mAh battery. While the phone is available in a 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration, Honor is also selling the Play 10C in a more generous 8GB + 256GB variant, although this unsurprisingly raise the price a bit.
