The Honor Magic V5 Officially Launches for the UK and Europe

While it’s not exactly a “new” smartphone, the Honor’s Magic V5 foldable has just made its way to more markets worldwide, following its initial launch in China not too long ago. That being said, Honor announced the Magic V5 for buyers in the United Kingdom and Europe, alongside the MagicPad 3 as well as the MagicBook Art 14.

With the 16GB RAM model priced at £1,699.99 for buyers in the UK and 1,999 EUR for the rest of Europe, Honor promises a premium foldable experience with the Magic V5. As far as foldables are concerned, it’s pretty lightweight, measuring at just 271 grams for the white model and 222 grams for the other colour variants. It’s also incredibly slim (Honor says that it’s the thinnest foldable at this time), measuring just 4.1mm when unfolded and 8.8mm when closed.

For its displays, the Magic V5 features an LTPO OLED display that comes in at 7.95 inches with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Outside, there’s an external screen that measures 6.43 inches with the same brightness and refresh rate. The Magic V5 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and there’s also a 5,820 mAh silicon-carbon battery which supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.

For software, you’re getting Magic OS from Honor along with a selection of exclusive apps (as well as third-party software), as well as support for Google Gemini and a host of other AI-based apps. For cameras, the Magic V5 comes with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 64MP periscope telephoto camera. Both displays also feature 20MP front cameras for selfies and video calls.
