Despite their differences, Adobe never stopped making software for Apple platforms. First it was the Mac and now its iOS. And why would they? After all, they too are making money off them. In fact Apple products are often used for creative work, the kind of stuff that would require the use of Adobe products.

This year they launched three applications for the iPad, Eazel, Color Lava and Nav. All three apps have just been updated and offer more features, that too at a lower price.

As one of the most popular virtual keyboards for Android to date, Swype deserves a lot of attention for the release of its v3.0 beta today. It looks like the already successful Android keyboard is bound to take its popularity to the next level with the addition of support for Honeycomb tablets.

Among the other new features of the third version of the virtual keyboard are the Tap Correction and Horizontal Word Choice list. Rather than try and explain what the above functions do, I have found a neat video which will do this for me. You will also be able to see how nicely it is to Swype text on the large screen of a tablet in the video as well.

winamp

Winamp is easily becoming one of the best stock music player replacements for Android and it proves just that with its latest update. There are now more than four million Android users withWinamp installed and if Nullsoft keeps delivering the goods like this, it stands to gain a lot more.

Here is a list of the new features:

* Additional Free Music listen to the newest releases with Full CD Listening Party
* SHOUTcast now available on most Android 2.1 devices
* Streaming playback now powered by a new native Winamp media engine
* Updated SHOUTcast Featured Station List
* New Languages: Simplified Chinese & Traditional Chinese

The latest version of Winamp may not be the biggest update, but we certainly cannot complain with more free music and the many other features that we love about the application. One of our favorite features that the guys over at Nullsoft have implemented that many other have yet to is Google Voice Actions, which allows you to listen to the song or artist you are looking for with your voice. This is not a new feature for Winamp, as its been available for a while now, but its helpful indeed.

There is no doubt that Angry Birds is possibly the greatest mobile video game yet. It is simple, yet addictive I have personally wasted hours of my time in pursuit of the coveted three stars for each level. What is happening lately with Rovio creation though is even more impressive it appears that the game has already become a part of today pop culture. The latest commercial from T-Mobile is a living proof of this fact it brings the popular characters from the video game to life in the middle of Barcelona.

As you can see, the live setup is quite impressive. There is a booth with a smartphone in the middle, which you use to play the game. The birds and the slingshot are shown on a larger screen on the left so that the public can see them being shot out. And now the coolest part after the birds are released, they "jump" out of the screen and cause the pigs to literally explode in real life.

I must admit, I was not impressed by the Nintendo Wii U when it was announced a couple of days back at the E3 2011. And the way Nintendo shares are going down, neither is anyone else. And now Firemint, the company that created the popular iOS game Real Racing 2 HD will be bringing wireless FullHD gaming over AirPlay to your TV screen, a feature that will kick devices like the Wii U squarely in the nuts.

Now currently, Real Racing 2 HD is able to stream 1080p output from an iPad 2 to a TV screen through the HDMI connection but with iOS 5 developers will be able to stream the same output wirelessly to an Apple TV using the new AirPlay Mirroring function in iOS 5. And its not traditional mirroring we are talking about here, where the iPad output is displayed on the screen in 4:3 aspect ratio. You will see the game on your TV screen in native resolution without any borders while your iPad 2 display will show racing telemetry in real time. You still control the game the same way, by tilting it from side to side but now without the cable sticking out from the side.
