Since the official announcement of Google latest and greatest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich last week, the update timeline for the current crop of Android devices has been a seriously hot topic of discussion. Motorola is among the first major players to spill the beans on the matter via its own Twitter feed.

As you can see above, the tech giant vows to update its flagship devices within six weeks of Google release of the final version of the OS. Sure, the tweet does say they will release "devices for ICS" but since it's an answer about upcoming updates, we guess it's just a typo and what they really meant was "ICS for devices".

And since Google widely expected to release the source code shortly after the Galaxy Nexus goes on sale, we can look at January 2012 as the likely time of the update.

We have already told you the unlocked Motorola RAZR smartphone will be available in the UK in November. Now we have one of the country major carriers, O2, giving it a dedicated page on its site, while also citing November as a launch date.

Unfortunately, the Telefónica-owned operator "forgot" to mention the exact date and the accompanying plans that will be offered with the "world's thinnest smartphone." However, nothing stops you from signing up to be among the first ones to be able to get Moto baby from O2.

If I had to guess, the new RAZR device will be offered free of charge to anyone willing to commit on a two-year contract with a 30-35 GBP per month plan.

We are about twelve hours away from the Motorola event where they will be announcing the new DROID RAZR. Of course, they never mentioned the name of the device but the previous leaks and the teaser video provided enough clues. But if you think they were not enough, here comes the actual image of the phone.

This image wa on Motorola teaser site and gives us a good look at the new DROID RAZR. Well thats one name full of history. It must be said that it is indeed an attractive looking design, particularly the back with that sweet looking Carbon fiber adorning it.

You can also see the 4G LTE logo on the back, along with certain other details such as the FCC ID, which suggests that the battery is sealed. The back swiftly rises to a bulge near the top, where you can find the camera lens that claims to do 1080p video along with an LED flash and a loudspeaker.

The Motorola Atrix is available for purchase at ATT online retail store for a penny under the $100 range. The successor to Moto dual-core pioneer will set you back $99 on a two-year contract with a data plan.

The Atrix 2 was announced for ATT a week ago and features a 1GHz Tegra 2 processor inside, which does not offer anything more than the one in the previous model, but ups the ante with a 1080p-capable 8 MP snapper on the back. The phone will also feature ATT HSPA+ connectivity, which is about as fast as 3G can go right now.

The Atrix 2 also offers a bigger 4.3" qHD (540x960) capacitive display and 8 gigs of internal storage. Android 2.3 comes preinstalled.
