It’s probably no secret that Xiaomi smartphones are extremely popular in a lot of markets worldwide, although there are times when they might sell a bit better than expected – at least that’s the case with the Redmi K80 series phones, which according to Xiaomi have sold 3.6 million units within 100 days.
K80 and the K80 Pro, which feature high-end chipsets such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite, respectively. Upon their launch, the phones managed to sell 660,000 within just 24 hours, and subsequently hit 10 million sales at the ten-day mark.
Additionally, it’s reported that Xiaomi is planning to add two more models to the K80 lineup with the K80 Ultra, which is rumored to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip inside, and a gaming phone which will supposedly feature the Snapdragon 8s Elite chip. There’s no word yet on when the new phones will be announced, however.
In other recent Xiaomi news, the company unveiled the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which features a 1-inch camera sensor alongside a dedicated camera grip accessory, as well as global availability for the “standard” Xiaomi 15.
