It’s been a while since Nokia bowed out from the smartphone game, instead opting to end its Android-powered run under HMD’s smartphone division. That said though, the Finnish company’s name still lives on in HMD’s current line of feature phones – take for example the new Nokia 300 Charge, an ultra-affordable feature phone designed for heavy-duty use and battery longevity.
Priced at just around 40 bucks, the phone weighs in at 138 grams and features a compact 2.4-inch QVGA display above the T9 keyboard in front. Other features include a single QVGA rear camera, a built-in flashlight, and the rather-basic S30+ operating system powered by a Unisoc SC6531E processor.
The device also includes 4 MB of RAM, 4 MB of internal storage expandable up to 32 GB via microSD, and a classic 3.5 mm headphone jack. We wouldn’t blame you if you somehow mistake this as one of the more “classic” Nokia phones from the early 2000s.
That said however, the main selling point of the Nokia 300 Charge is its removable 3,700 mAh battery, which according to HMD can deliver up to 40 days of standby time and nearly 38 hours of continuous talk time. More importantly, the phone also doubles as a portable power bank, offering 10W reverse charging via USB Type-C to power up other devices on the go.
