Following the launch of the TicNote AI voice recorder a while back, Mobvoi’s somewhat subtle change in course (at least when it comes to hardware) has continued with the announcement of its newest TicNote Pods, which it describes as “4G AI note-taking earbuds.” The earbuds are now up on Kickstarter with an early-backer price of $199.
Mobvoi says that the new earbuds allow users to record, transcribe, summarize, and translate conversations instantly, functioning completely independently of a smartphone thanks to the built-in 4G eSIM, although there’s also support for local recording caabilities. Of course, the earbuds can also double as everyday earbuds for content consumption and communication.
Other features include ENC/AEC noise cancellation, low-latency Bluetooth 6.0 for media playback and calls, dual-recording which allows them to capture clear audio from both the earbuds and the charging case, and an open-ear design with a titanium wire frame and liquid-silicone hooks for stability.
The TicNote Pods will first be available for pre-order on Kickstarter, with a global retail launch price of $299. Shipping for initial backers is scheduled to begin in January 2026.
