Honor’s next foldable shows up early in celebrity photoshoot

Honor’s been teasing the Magic V6 for weeks, but the foldable just made an early appearance thanks to some photos circulating on Weibo. Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse was photographed during what looks like a commercial shoot, holding what appears to be the upcoming device in his hands. The Honor Magic V6 leak gives us our clearest look yet at what Honor’s planning for its next flagship foldable.

The images show off the phone’s ultra-slim profile pretty clearly. Even when folded, the device looks incredibly thin, continuing Honor’s push to make the lightest and slimmest foldables on the market. It’s hard to miss that octagonal camera bump on the back, which seems to be Honor’s signature design choice at this point.

What really stands out, though, is the color. The device sports a dark red finish that’s deeper than what we saw on the Magic V5. The exact shade is tough to pin down since the photoshoot lighting and red background make it look almost brownish in some shots.

The design hasn’t changed dramatically from the previous generation. You still get that octagonal camera module and flat sides with visible antenna lines suggesting a metal frame. But the Honor Magic V6 leak confirms the phone maintains that impressively thin profile that made its predecessor so appealing.

What we know about the specs

Tse’s role as Honor’s tech ambassador makes this feel like an official promotional shoot rather than just a random leak. The timing lines up too, since Honor already confirmed the Magic V6 will debut at MWC 2026 on March 1.

Previous certification filings pointed to a massive 7,150mAh battery for the Chinese version. That’d make it the biggest battery ever stuffed into a foldable, which is wild considering how thin these photos make it look. Rumors also suggest 120W fast charging, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, and a 200MP main camera.

The global model might get a slightly smaller 6,850mAh battery, but that’s still huge for this form factor. Other expected features include wireless charging, full waterproofing, and satellite communication support.

The Magic V6 is shaping up to be a serious contender in the foldable space. We won’t have to wait much longer to see if it lives up to the hype.
