Google recently announced that’s bringing new updates to Gemini in Classroom, which will now support all Classroom-compatible languages where Gemini is available. Available beginning this week, the update aims to provide educators and students with localized AI tools for lesson planning and personalized study.
The update will allow teachers to use the Gemini tab directly within Classroom to generate and adapt resources in their preferred languages. These will include the ability to outline lesson plans, generate quizzes, write informational texts, address common student misconceptions, and translate content.

Educators can also collaborate with the Gemini app through starter prompts designed for common teaching tasks, which can help with brainstorming real-world examples, gamifying classroom activities, developing differentiation strategies, and even drafting exemplars or Depth of Knowledge (DOK) questions. Google says that additional content generation features will continue to roll out in these languages over the coming weeks.
That said, students aged 18 and older in higher education settings can now use the Gemini tab to access the “Guided Learning” feature, which will provide step-by-step explanations of complex topics, along with other tools for practice quizzes and other study guides including flash cards.
