Screenless fitness trackers used to be Whoop’s thing alone. That’s changed fast this year, with Google jumping in through Fitbit and now Garmin joining the mix too. The Garmin CIRQA Smart Band is official, and it’s built to sit on your wrist and quietly do its job. No display, no notifications buzzing in, just a single button and a fabric band.

CIRQA goes up for order on July 24 at $199.99. Garmin isn’t requiring a subscription to use it either. Every core feature works right out of the box. Want deeper insights? Garmin Connect+ is available for $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year, but it stays optional. Battery life is rated at up to 10 days. That beats the Fitbit Air’s week per charge. It still trails Whoop’s roughly two-week stretch, though.
What you’re actually getting for that price

The Garmin CIRQA Smart Band runs on Garmin’s Elevate Gen 4 sensor. That’s the same generation found in some of the company’s older watches, not its newest hardware. There’s no ECG at launch because of that. There’s also no onboard GPS, so outdoor tracking depends on a connected phone. What you do get is solid, though. Heart rate runs 24/7, alongside SpO2, stress, and respiration monitoring. Sleep reports are detailed, and metrics like Training Readiness and VO2 Max carry over straight from Garmin’s watch lineup.

The band comes in four colors: black, French Gray, berry, and navy. Sizes cover both wrist and upper-arm wear. Straps use quick-release pins, and Garmin already sells replacements for $49.99 if you want to swap looks.
Garmin spent months teasing this one, starting back when the CIRQA name briefly leaked on its own Canada website. Now that the Garmin CIRQA Smart Band is real, the pitch is simple. Pay once, skip the subscription, and let the band do its thing in the background.
